Recalls
First time here?
In order to determine if you have a seat that has an active recall on it, you will need certain information from the seat. You will need the seat brand, model, model number and date of manufacture. This information can be found on a label on the seat. If you can not find the information, contact the seat manufacturer. If you can not find the seat manufacturer here and/or they are out of business DO NOT USE THE SEAT!
Note: The shelf life of the average child safety seat is 6 to 10 years. If the seat you own is older than this do not use the seat. If the company that manufactured your seat is not listed on the recall page contact information is unavailable. Unless you were able to contact them for recall information on the seat do not use it.
It is the responsibility of the Child Safety Seat owner to properly register the seat with the manufacture for among other things proper notification of recalls. It is recommended that checking your seat for recalls be done on a regular basis.
